Christian Santana Prinz stated that his artwork is a reflection on modern schizoid construction of great metropolises which are not visually appealing at first glance, and how the sense of “beauty of the New Spain Viceroyalty or neoclassic has been totally lost”.

“My work,” explains the artist, “is a debate among the modernist vanguard, postmodernism, pictorial beauty and bad visual taste. The landscapes that I have painted usually represent the junk of civilization – structures, bridges, roads, avenues and highways, simulated through forms that return us to nature.”
